In addition to our beautiful accommodations, Moses White Guest House offers the option of private dining with acclaimed Chef Robert Berry.

Chef Berry began his career in Charleston over 30 years ago at the city’s famed Slightly North of Broad (SNOB), learning the ropes under culinary legend, Frank Lee. From there, he travelled to Paris to study at the world-renowned culinary institute, Le Cordon Bleu.

After completing his formal training in Paris, Chef Berry returned to the states to lead the kitchens of a number of top restaurants, including Westend Bistro in Washington, D.C., (named one of the "Best New Restaurants in America" by Esquire magazine) and Cookshop in New York City (recipient of two stars from The New York Times ).

For Chef Berry, the Moses White Guest House is not only a homecoming to the Holy City, but a return to what he has always loved most about the culinary profession: cooking for friends, family and his community in a place that feels like home.
